REJUVENATION
AGE
AND ABSORPTION
After
2 or 3 years use, your quilt certainly needs
rejuvenating.
Every year, the average queen size bed has
an incredible 750 litres of bodily fluids pass through,
causing the feather and down to absorb the oils and
"clump" together.
ASTHMA
AND ALLERGIES
The
"clumped" filling is an ideal breeding ground
for dust mites.
These creatures trigger allergens which
can cause asthma attacks, eczema, hay fever and
sneezing.
BROKEN
FILLING
The
soiled filling becomes brittle, causing the tiny feather
shafts to snap and break, leaving a residue of grit and
dust particles in your quilt.
This means it no longer
has the same "loft", holds less air and makes
your quilt flatter and colder.
ECONOMIC
AND ENVIRONMENTAL
Rejuvenation
means your casing and filling is reused and not added to
landfill.
Having your quilt rejuvenated every 3 to 5
years will mean you will not need to replace your quilt,
so your quilt will last a lifetime.
HYGIENIC
PROCESSES
Firstly,
your quilt case is opened and the filling removed,
then dusted and sorted in a specially designed European
Kraft Gobel machine.
The damaged feathers and dust
(which have no thermal quality) are removed. If your
quilt is beyond rejuvenation, we will advise you.
STEAM
CLEANING AT 130 DEGREES
The
remaining filling is then steam cleaned to kill all
bacteria and dust mites and remove all bodily fats and
oils.
The anti-static and anti-bacterial process is to
prevent "clumping", to stop bacteria forming
and remove any musty odour.
LOFTING,
DRYING AND TOP-UP
The
clean filling is then re-lofted to restore it's thermal
capacity and topped-up with new filling (optional) of
the same quality (or better).
LAUNDER,
NOT DRY CLEAN
The
quilt casing is then laundered with stain remover,
second washed and triple rinsed and dried.
No dry
cleaning chemicals are used, which can irritate and have
possible links to cancer.
Your casing can also be
replaced (optional).
REFILLED
AND CUSTOMISED
Your
re-lofted filling is re-injected back into your casing.
at this stage, you have the option of adding more
filling or have one side warmer than the other.
GUARANTEE
The
casing is then sewn with miro-stitching to prevent the
filling escaping.
It is hygienically packed and your
